Why we built Beauty Hopper

I’m Korean, but I grew up across many cultures, spending much of my life in Canada. Because of that, I understand what it feels like to be far from home, navigating something unfamiliar and wishing there was someone you could truly trust by your side.

When I moved to Korea in 2018, I entered the beauty and medical tourism industry, working alongside some of the country's leading plastic surgery clinics. Korea's medical standards were exceptional, but I quickly noticed something important: many international patients weren't struggling to find clinics. They were struggling to know who to trust.

Who is right for my case? Am I being guided properly? Who will be there to support me once I arrive?

These questions came up again and again.

Too often, people were left to navigate one of the biggest decisions with incomplete information, conflicting opinions, and no one truly looking out for their best interests.

That is why I created Beauty Hopper.

We are not here simply to help people book procedures. We are here to help patients make informed decisions, feel supported throughout the process, and connect with clinics that genuinely align with their goals.

At the same time, we wanted to create a space where talented and ethical doctors receive the recognition they deserve. Some of Korea's most skilled surgeons are not always the most visible online, and many international patients would never discover them without proper guidance.

Our role is simple: to guide, advocate, translate, simplify, and help patients navigate the process with greater clarity and confidence.

My hope is that every patient feels informed, supported, and never alone throughout their journey. We would be honored to be part of yours ❤️
